MCCU Makes Donations to Three Local Charities

Lugoff Branch Grand Opening Charity Campaign

In keeping with its long-standing tradition of supporting the communities it serves, Mid Carolina Credit Union hosted a charity donation giveaway during the grand opening of its new Lugoff facility. Both members and the general public were able to vote during the week’s activities, Sept. 3 – 6. The credit union gave a $ 1,000 donation to the first-place winner, Habitat for Humanity, and a $250 donation to both the second and third-place winners, Elgin PD Toy Round-Up and Kershaw County Humane Society.

“We’re proud to support and assist these charities in their missions. They are all great causes and have done much good over the last several years,” said Tina Smith, marketing manager with Mid Carolina CU. “Our hope is that this promotion will bring attention to all our local area charities and give them a little extra boost.”

Charities to be in the drawing were chosen by a vote on Mid Carolina’s social media in the weeks leading up to the credit union’s grand opening. For more information about Mid Carolina Credit Union, go to midcarolinacu.com.
