PROTECT YOUR IDENTITY. COME TO OUR DRIVE-THRU SHRED EVENT WITH YOUR UNWANTED PERSONAL DOCUMENTS. THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. BRING CANNED OR NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS TO DONATE, OUR FRIENDS FROM CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY MINISTRIES WILL BE ON-SITE TO COLLECT DONATIONS.
Looking to clean out all of those old documents that have been taking up valuable space? Join us at our Lugoff Branch, and we’ll help you shred your documents safely, securely, and for FREE! This shred event will be drive thru and MCCU staff will be on hand to unload your shreddables and donations from your vehicle’s trunk or hatch while you remain in your vehicle. This shredding service is for PAPER ONLY -- no metal, cords, or electronics please.
Here's How It Works
Before heading to the event, have all your shreddables ready in bags or boxes and placed in your vehicle’s trunk or hatch; a limit of 4 per person.
Once you arrive at the event, wait for a MCCU staff member to provide assistance and traffic directions. Please DO NOT get out of your vehicle.
Pop the trunk or hatch (when asked) and we will deliver your shred items to the shred truck and gather any donations.
Drive home with the peace of mind that your documents have been securely shredded.
In keeping with the credit union philosophy of people helping people, we'd like your help with our community food drive. As you bring your items to be shredded, we ask that you bring a donation of canned or non-perishable goods; all donations will go to the local food pantry, Christian Community Ministries, and help those within our local community.

INFO TO KNOW:
Bring up to four boxes or bags of items to be shredded.
Suggested items to shred:
financial statements
cancelled checks
credit card statements and credit card pre-approval letters
payroll stubs
insurance forms
old tax returns
forms from doctor's offices
etc.
Shred Events are FREE community events for Mid Carolina CU members and Kershaw & Richland County community residents - No businesses please. Shredding will be provided by Shred360.
Local Churches and nonprofits may contact our Marketing Dept. ahead of the event for questions on document limits and shredding availability for preapproval for day of event, marketing@midcarolinacu.com.
