Paperwork can pile up quickly, especially when it includes old records you no longer need but do not want to simply throw away. Mid Carolina Credit Union is hosting a Fall Shred Event to give members a convenient way to securely dispose of outdated personal documents.

Take a look through old files, drawers, and folders for personal paperwork you no longer need. Items to consider bringing include:

  • Paperwork with account numbers

  • Checks you no longer need

  • Outdated billing and credit records

  • Old employment records

  • Past insurance documents

  • Tax paperwork past its retention period

  • Other papers containing private information
