Join Us for Spring Shred Day and Food Drive

Mid Carolina Credit Union invites you to safely dispose of sensitive documents while supporting our local community. We are hosting a Community Shred Event and Food Drive at our Camden branch.

Event Details

Date: Wednesday, April 8, 2026

Location: MCCU Camden Branch

       1015 Mill Street

       Camden, SC 29020

Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

This event is part of our ongoing commitment to helping members protect their personal information while giving back to neighbors in need.

How It Works

The event will be drive-thru and contactless for your convenience. MCCU staff will unload your shred materials and food donations directly from your vehicle's trunk or hatch, so you can remain in your car during the process.

  • Limit of 4 bags or boxes per person

  • Paper only. No electronics, cords, or metal materials

  • Churches are welcome to participate

What to Bring

Shredding personal documents helps protect you from identity theft and reduces clutter at home. Suggested items include:

  • Old bank statements

  • Cancelled checks

  • Credit card statements or pre-approved credit offers

  • Pay stubs

  • Insurance paperwork

  • Old tax returns

  • Documents containing personal information

Paper only please. No metal, cords, or electronics.

Support the Community

We are also collecting non-perishable food donations for Christian Community Ministries, which supports families in our area.

If you plan to bring documents for shredding, please consider bringing canned goods or shelf-stable food items to help those in need.
